Overview

Jacqueline Rosado began her legal career with Walton Lantaff Schroeder & Carson, LLP in 2013, first joining the firm as a law clerk, a role that strongly influenced her decision to pursue a long-term professional calling through law school. A first-generation Cuban American born and raised in Miami, Ms. Rosado’s professional path reflects deep local roots and a disciplined work ethic. Ms. Rosado is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Ms. Rosado graduated from St. Brendan High School in 2010 and earned her undergraduate degree from Florida International University in 2014, where she obtained a Bachelors in International Relations with a minor in Global Media Communications. During her time at FIU, she served as a staff writer for the FIU Beacon, developing lasting strengths in investigative reporting, factual analysis, and written communication. In 2011, she studied abroad in Genoa through FIU’s Wolfsonian Museum Partnership, expanding her academic perspective through European Studies. Ms. Rosado later earned her Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law in 2018, where she served as Articles Editor of the St. Thomas Law Review and as Secretary of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers chapter, all while maintaining consistent academic distinction as a Dean’s List honoree. During law school, she completed an internship with the Criminal Division of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida under the Honorable Judge Spencer Eig, gaining valuable courtroom insights early in her career.

Today, Ms. Rosado’s practice focuses on first-party property insurance defense, with additional work in third-party subrogation, real estate transactions, and commercial and civil matters. She is drawn to insurance defense’s demand for precision, disciplined reasoning, careful policy interpretation, and fact-driven analysis, all while remaining grounded in real-world complexity and conflict. Known for being structured, rule-oriented, and an outstanding communicator, Ms. Rosado brings clarity and procedural consistency to every case she handles. Outside the office, she is an avid fiction reader — standing strongly in agreement with George R.R. Martin’s belief that literature offers “a thousand lives” beyond one’s own — and enjoys travel, creative writing, and time with her husband, Rene Morales, as they await the arrival of their first child in May 2026.

As your attorney, Ms. Rosado provides transparent communication, meticulous preparation and trusted collaboration, qualifying and distinguishing her to be the legal ally you need when navigating complex insurance defense matters.
