M. Cristina Brodermann

Cristina Brodermann is a partner with Walton Lantaff Schroeder & Carson, LLP, based out of the Firm’s Miami office. Cristina was born in Havana, Cuba, and her family immigrated to the United States settling in Natchitoches, Louisiana, where she lived for 20 years. While residing in Louisiana, Cristina attended Saint Mary’s High School and then continued her education at Northwestern State University wherein she majored in history and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She then went on to continue her legal studies at Southern University School of Law in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where she was on the Dean’s list and a member of the Law Review. Cristina became licensed to practice law in the State of Louisiana in 1984 and in the State of Florida in 1986. In 1987, Cristina relocated to Coral Gables, Florida, where she has resided ever since.

Cristina began her legal career in Florida as a criminal defense attorney and later transitioned her practice to focus on workers’ compensation. In 1999, Cristina joined the firm as an associate and was promoted to partner in 2008 where she continues to specialize in the representation of employers, carriers, self-insurers, and contractors in workers’ compensation matters. She is a member of the Florida Bar Workers’ Compensation Section. She has been assigned an AV Preeminent Rating by Martindale Hubbell and is fluent in Spanish. During her free time she enjoys traveling, fine dining, reading, and outdoor activities.
