Mr. Joy's practice is limited to insurance coverage law.
He serves as coverage counsel for several national insurers.
Since 1995, the mainstay of Mr. Joy's practice has been
insurance policy analysis; coverage opinions; advising
clients on the proper handling of coverage disputes;
and, insurance coverage and bad faith litigation in
state and federal courts. Mr. Joy's practice
extends throughout the state of Florida.
Mr. Joy co-authored the 1995 and 1996 editions of Insurance Coverage Law in Florida, published by
National Business Institute. He is a member of the
Insurance Law Committee of the Defense Research Institute (DRI), and has served as a
lecturer at Florida Bar Continuing Legal Education
classes on insurance coverage law. Mr. Joy is also certified by the Florida Department of
Financial Services as a continuing education instructor
and
presents frequent seminars for
insurance adjusters in the area of insurance coverage
and bad faith law.

Mr. Joy
attended undergraduate and law school at the University
of Florida. While in law school he served as Vice
Chairman of the Justice Campbell Thornal National Moot
Court Board, and was inducted into the Order of the
Barristers for outstanding achievement in the area of
oral and written advocacy.
