Miami Office
Mr. Hersman heads the Commercial and Residential Real
Estate Division at the firm. He represents clients
on all aspects of commercial and residential real estate
matters, including: acting as title agent on real estate
closings, preparing commercial or residential real
estate contracts, resolving lien or title issues,
quieting title, assistance to municipalities with such
matters as tax deeds, providing realtors with advice, as
well as handling foreclosure and probate matters.
He also prepares commercial mortgage loan documents for
lenders, and represents developers on projects,
including such matters as condominium conversion
projects. As an agent for Attorney's Title
Insurance Fund, Inc., First American Title Insurance
Company, and Fidelity National Title Insurance Company, Mr. Hersman also issues title
insurance policies on all property sales and/or mortgage
loans. Formerly, Mr. Hersman represented employers
and insurance carriers in workers' compensation matters
and actively participated in the
preparation and presentation of workers' compensation
seminars to insurance adjusters statewide.
He graduated from the University of Miami Law School. Mr.
Hersman received a Bachelor of Science Degree at Florida
International University. He served as an Assistant State
Attorney in Broward County for five years, where he
prosecuted defendants charged with felony crimes.
Mr. Hersman is a member of Attorney’s Title Insurance
Fund, The Florida Bar, Dade County
Bar Association, National Association for District
Prosecutors, and the Federal Bar Association of the United
States District Court for the Southern District of
Florida.
