Jane is a partner in the firm's Jacksonville office. She concentrates her practice in the areas of
insurance defense, including bad faith and
extra-contractual matters, coverage matters, liability
cases, civil appeals and federal practice. Jane counsels
and assists insurers on responding to civil remedy
notices of insurer violation, and tender of policy
limits within the 60 day cure period provided by Florida
Statute Sec. 624.155.
Jane is a
member of The Florida Bar, and is currently admitted to
practice in the State of Florida, the United States Eleventh Circuit
Court of Appeals and the Southern, Middle and Northern
Federal Districts of Florida. She is a member of the
Florida Defense Lawyers Association, and the Defense
Research Institute (DRI).
Jane has been approved by the Florida Department
of Financial Services to provide seminars to adjusters
for continuing education credit. She has given
numerous classes to adjusters regarding preventing bad
faith in Florida. Jane also teaches classes on
adjuster ethics.
Jane graduated with distinction with a B.S. in
Administrative Studies from Nova University, and earned
her Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University
Law School, graduating summa cum laude. While in
law school Jane was on the
Law Review. Following her graduation from law
school, Jane served as law clerk to
the Honorable Gerald B. Cope and the Honorable Thomas H. Barkdull, Jr. at the Third District Court of Appeal in
Miami, Florida.
