CHILD ADVOCACY

Walton Lantaff has attorneys who are experienced and skilled Child Advocates.  Walton Lantaff lawyers have been frequently appointed as Child Advocates to represent the interests of minor children involved in litigation as volunteers (pro bono) and on a paid fee basis.  This practice involves acting as independent child advocates in custody disputes, contentious divorces, paternity suits and in proceedings with allegations of neglect, abandonment, physical abuse or sexual abuse. 

Walton Lantaff lawyers are experienced in acting as Attorney Guardian Ad Litems for minor children in determining what is in “the best interest of the child” when the child too young to express their interests.  Some lawyers are experienced independent counsel to children when they reach the teenage and advocate for the older child’s “expressed interests.”
