Overview

Michael Galex started his legal career in 1992 as an Assistant State Attorney with the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office. Mr. Galex prosecuted all criminal cases, from misdemeanor and traffic matters to felony offenses punishable by life in prison, handling all phases of the criminal prosecution process, from initial investigation through trial, final judgment and appeal. In recognition of his performance and ethics as an Assistant State Attorney, Mr. Galex received numerous commendations from local police agencies, judges, interest groups, jurors, crime victims and even members of the criminal defense bar.

In 1999 Mr. Galex joined Walton Lantaff’s Miami office. In addition to criminal cases, Mr. Galex started handling civil trials and appeals throughout Florida, including wrongful death, automobile negligence, general negligence and premises liability, contract disputes, products liability, and property insurance. Since joining the Firm Mr. Galex has risen from Associate to Junior Partner in 2007 and then Senior Partner in 2012.
